AboveNY.com Security and Important Documents

Q. Is my account information secure?

Your account information is very secure. AboveNY.com utilizes secure connections (SSL) when customer information is being transmitted through our system. Short for Secure Sockets Layer, SSL works by using a private key to encrypt data that's transferred over the SSL connection. This prevents the data from being "seen" in transit. Only the intended recipient can view the information. Both Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer support SSL, and most Web sites use SSL to obtain confidential user information such as credit card numbers. By convention, Web pages that require an SSL connection start with 'https:' instead of 'http:.' The 's' in 'https' represents the "secure" server location of a given page.

Q. Can I edit my account information?

Yes, every field you have submitted at registration page, including your login name and password can be edited. To make changes, click on the link Edit Your Account Contact Information at any of your portfolio pages.

Q. Are there restrictions when selecting a login name and password?

The username and password should not contain any spaces or special characters. Both must be 4 - 20 characters long.
